Meaningful industrial jobs
“Meaningful industrial work in hybrid human-technology-AI teams” (HiFive) research project’s goal is to explore meaningfulness in industrial work context to ensure smooth work and collaboration in hybrid human cyber-physical systems. This takes place by studying meaningfulness in manufacturing workplaces and by utilising novel technologies such as artificial intelligence and metaverse solutions. The project highlights the importance of acknowledging workers and applying human-centred design principles when pursuing towards attractive workplaces for future.
HiFive’s vision statement is: “HiFive will design and create meaningful, enjoyable and productive hybrid industrial workplaces for tomorrow”.
HiFive project is conducted in collaboration with companies Konecranes, Tasowheel, Elomatic, AINS Group, ProVerse Interactive and research institutes VTT, Aalto University and University of Jyväskylä. HiFive Co-innovation project is part of Zero4 program – a research and innovation collaboration and ecosystem led by Konecranes (https://zero4.konecranes.com/). Zero4’s vision is a unified material flow platform developed together with ecosystem partners, universities, research institutes and customers. The program focuses on constructing a holistic material flow platform that tracks material movement and seamlessly and efficiently orchestrates, visualizes and optimizes intralogistics equipment fleets and material so that the needed materials are always where they should be.
HiFive is a two-year project (2024-2026). Total budget of the Business Finland funded co-innovation project is app. 4.7M€.
